Givrins, June 21 — The 2023 World Reining Championship is proud to announce that the inaugural NRHA-approved international team and individual competition, open to horses 5 years old and up, will be welcoming 14 countries in Givrins, Switzerland, this coming July 3-8.
Making their way to CS Ranch, host to many prestigious international competitions including World and European championships, will be riders representing Austria (3 combinations), Belgium (16 combinations), Czech Republic/Slovakia (9 combinations), France (21 combinations), Germany (18 combinations), Great Britain (6 combinations), Hungary (1 combination), Italy (29 combinations), Luxembourg (1 combination), the Netherlands (1 combination), Poland (10 combinations), Switzerland (10 combinations), and the USA (2 combinations).
The 127 horse-rider combinations competing for European nations and North America will be showing in the following categories:
Junior Riders
30 entries, 7 countries, and 6 teams
Young Riders
29 entries, 8 countries, and 6 teams
Amateur Senior Riders
32 entries, 9 countries, and 6 teams
Open Senior Riders
27 entries, 9 countries, and 5 teams
The top 20 scoring combinations in each category will qualify for the final individual competition. Winners in all categories will be crowned “World Reining” Champions!
World Para Reining Championship 2023
Bringing even more excitement to the inaugural World Reining competition is the World Para Reining Championship 2023 which currently counts five nations, nine riders, and three teams: Denmark, a Franco-German combination, Great Britain, and Italy.
Clean Sport
The organizing committee, highly experienced in hosting top-level competitions, will enforce animal welfare and medication rules in order to ensure clean sport and the best environment for the horses and riders proudly representing their country.
