for World Reining e.V. Events

World Reining e.V. is an association whose purpose is to organize Reining Championships, the WRC (World Reining Championship) open to riders from around the world, and the WRCC (World Reining Continental Championship) open to riders from each continent or region concerned. These competitions mainly consist of team competitions followed by individual finals for the 20 best riders from the team competition in each division.

There are 8 divisions

  • Children
  • Junior
  • Young Non-Pro
  • Young Pro
  • Non-Pro
  • Open
  • Prime Time Non-Pro, and
  • Para riders.

Each nation may enter a maximum of 44 athletes to form the national team, 4 for the Children and Para divisions, 6 for the Junior, Young Non-Pro, Young Pro, Non-Pro, Open, and Prime Time Non-Pro divisions.

Each nation designates a person or organization that is responsible for their country’s selection.

To be eligible for selection, each candidate must achieve at least once the minimum score for their division during a WR Qualifying Show, the list of which is published here.

Qualifying scores

  • 67 or multiples if 2, 3 or more judges (134, 201) for the Children 10-13 division
  • 68 or multiples if 2, 3 or more judges (136, 204) for the Junior 14-18 division
  • 70 or multiples if 2, 3 or more judges (140, 210) for the Young Non-Pro 19–25 division

  • Qualification can take place worldwide, regardless of the rider’s place of residence or nationality. The current list of qualification shows for each event are posted on the website.
  • Wild Cards are given to Million Dollar riders, they are eligible to compete without further qualification
  • Para riders are exempt from the qualification process and are not required to be members of the NRHA USA.
